Red 7 Telecomunicaciones got its start in 2011 in the city of Mexicali, BC, and we've come a long way since then. We closed our first deal as a WISP with a carrier for a 150 Mbps service, and expanded our coverage into San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.
What began as a local operation in Mexicali grew, over the years, into a national-class network. From our roots in Baja California we extended coverage across northwestern and northern Mexico — reaching Tijuana, Tecate, Rosarito and Ensenada in Baja California; San Luis Río Colorado, Ciudad Obregón, Empalme, Hermosillo and Nogales in Sonora; plus Chihuahua, Culiacán and Mérida. Every new city meant more of our own infrastructure, more nodes and a more resilient network.
Today we deliver solutions to more than 400 companies across 16 cities in Mexico and the United States. That's an average of 3 services per company, which adds up to over 1,200 services currently in place — backed by 45 network nodes and interconnection with more than 10 world-class providers.
Our border crossings let us interconnect with global carriers and deliver connectivity on both sides of the Mexico–U.S. border, a capability few providers in the region can offer.

Join our story
The company comes into its own with an expanded fiber-optic footprint and the launch of new business lines: Red7 Hosware, our digital solutions division, and Red7 Carrier, our dedicated internet service for WISP and ISP operators. With that, Red 7 grows from a regional provider into a telecommunications group with a full portfolio for businesses, operators and homes.
A year of recognition and regulatory maturity: Red 7 is nominated for the Top Tech Exec Awards and secures the nationwide Single Concession for commercial use granted by the IFT (IFETEL), formally backing our operations across the country.
We open our office in San Diego, California. This binational presence lets us stand physically on both sides of the border and get closer to U.S. carriers and data centers.
We establish a valid, legal border crossing for data traffic — a Mexico–U.S. interconnection capability that's uncommon among providers in the region and one of the foundations of our value proposition.
